Hi! I’m Jo Tuck-Lee, interior designer and owner of Marble & Muse Interiors, based in Canberra ACT.

I began my own interior design business as a creative outlet and through a love of working with homeowners and businessowners to create unique spaces that are always inspired by the clients’ own needs and preferences, rather than trends. Marble & Muse Interiors specialises in small, high quality projects, taking on only a handful of projects at a time, allowing Clients the highest level of service. All of my designs prioritise products and finishes that are made in an environmentally, ethically and socially responsible way. Marble & Muse has built strong relationships with local suppliers to assist you in procuring high quality products at the best price.

In my free-time, you’ll find me renovating our family’s 1960s cottage, sketching, gardening, finding my yoga zen, enjoying a cuppa with my husband (who is also my IT-support-guy and DIY handyman!) on the deck or attempting to keep up with our three high-energy kids.

My qualifications include a Certificate IV in Interior Decorating and a Diploma in Interior Design, a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts and a Masters with first class honours in Art History and Curatorship. Marble & Muse Interiors is built on my experience in interior design, renovating, visual arts, art gallery curatorship, project management and customer service. I enjoy working on a wide range of projects, combining my creative problem-solving skills, love of sketching and experience in customer service to help clients to visualise the final result!

Marble & Muse Interiors can assist you with a range of services, from residential to small commercial, including:

How does it work?

The exact process will depend on the size and nature of your project, but generally, I begin by meeting with you at your location to discuss the scope of your project, after which I will provide you with a return brief and free quote, usually breaking the project up into stages. If you decide to go ahead, then we will meet again to discuss the first stage in more detail before presenting you with a couple of preliminary concepts, usually including plenty of visual aids, such as drawings and samples. Where possible, I source furniture locally, so you can try it out for yourselves before making a decision. From there we discuss and finalise the design and I will compile all the final documentation, including technical drawings for joiners (if required) and a schedule (list of all finishes and products, detailing suppliers, prices, warranties, etc.). All concepts and designs will require your sign off before we move forward with the next step, so we can work to your pace. Once completed, you will have everything you need to start obtaining trades’ quotes and ordering furnishings! I always follow up with my clients, so I’m on hand if you run into any snags.

I’m sure I can help with your project, so please contact me for more information or to arrange for a free quote.
